INVOLVE Conference

6th National Conference

‘Public involvement in research: getting it right and making a difference'

Our 2008 conference was held on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th November 2008

INVOLVE’s national conference is an event for everyone who is interested in supporting and promoting public involvement in NHS, public health and social care research. This includes members of the public, service users, researchers, research commissioners and representatives of voluntary sector organisations.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and attended the conference in November and helped to make it such a successful and enjoyable event.

The programme included 8 workshops plus a number of additional single issue sessions, around 40 papers, a wide variety of posters and poster talks and a pantomime!

You can now view and search for all the abstracts and many of the presentation.

On day 2 of the conference Judy Scott and Alison Faulkner ran a Single Issue Workshop Payment for involvement in research: helpful benefit rules and systems for avoiding benefit problems. Judy Scott developed a handout for this workshop outlining some helpful information on benefit rules and systems.

The Conference report is now available to download. We do have a limited number of printed copies for people who are unable to download the report. If you would like to be sent a copy please contact the Support Unit : admin@invo.org.uk  or telephone 02380 651088.
