Consumers in NHS Research commissioned this piece of work to identify the types of information that are important to potential trial participants and to appraise the ways in which that information could be provided. The assessment was to reflect the perspectives of: people who have recently been approached to take part in a trial, those actively looking to volunteer for a trial, consumer representatives, and the researchers who design and conduct such trials.
