Abstract:

This supplement provides advice for researchers who design and carry out systematic reviews. It is a specialist supplement to support the general information on how to involve members of the public in research which can be found in the INVOLVE Briefing notes for researchers and should be read alongside the Briefing notes. Involvement is considered at three distinct levels:

  • in an individual review
  • in a group or a programme of related reviews
  • with a group, department of unit responsible for running many reviews and related research.

Advice and examples are provided for each level.
