Abstract: This article describes how a patient/ carer advisory group contributed to a project to improve the quality of information/ advice given to renal patients in order to support self-management of their condition. The group developed an information pack for patients and contributed to the training given to health professionals and patients. This case study illustrates the contributions that patients can make to quality improvement projects.
