Abstract: This article reports on the activity of a Consumer Panel for a data linkage research centre during its first year. After a period of induction and training, the Panel contributed to the development of a public engagement plan. They have reviewed information produced for the public including leaflets and videos. Panel members have also become involved in strategic management structures. Future plans include consulting the Panel on research proposals.
